Joe Constant
Founder and director
Joe is the brains behind Kick Start. After 20 years in the corporate world, and lecturing at college, Joe set up Kick Start in 2006. Things have come a long way since his first day with just a phone and a desk. Joe has seen the organisation grow, and still works at ground level with the people that motivated him to set up Kick Start in the first place.
Judith Longstreth
Manager/Senior Consultant
Judith Longstreth has worked for most of her life as a specialist teacher working to raise the achievement of minority ethnic pupils. She is an experienced trainer in equalities issues in education, locally, regionally and occasionally nationally. In her most recent post she worked as the head of a consortium Ethnic Minority Achievement Service working across South Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset and North Somerset.
Alison Cameron
Senior Consultant
Alison has worked in the field of minority ethnic attainment and English as an additional language for thirty years. Following overseas teaching posts in Turkey and Malaysia she returned to the UK and began to build up her skills as a trainer and school improvement adviser through various posts with Ethnic Minority Achievement teams in the South West of England and as National Strategies consultant for EAL.
Dot Lee
Consultant
Over the last 30 years, Dot has gained 3 years’ successful experience as an EMA Consultant for Bristol LA advising and training in a variety of schools. She has wide-ranging experience as a classroom teacher and EMAS teacher in London, Bristol and Avon schools.
Bharti Joshi
Consultant
Bharti is a professional teacher with over 20 years experience and has special expertise in raising the achievement, attainment and engagement of vulnerable pupils. She has worked successfully with schools to lead, innovate, implement and evaluate strategies and programmes.
Christiane Smith
Trainer
Christiane is a professional Career and Youth Coach. She works with young people at the start of their careers. She also supports individuals who are mid-career and looking for a career change as well as those coming up to retirement.
Deborah Doulia
Trainer
Deborah is a qualified teacher in Primary Education, specialising in music. She has a cross-curricular, creative approach to teaching, and believes that the most effective way of teaching children and young people is with a holistic view. It’s this belief that led to Deborah joining the Kick Start team, working with us to promote young people’s personal development, motivation and confidence.
Anneke Morley
Administrator
Anneke has worked in a variety of roles in Training and Education, from being a Learning Support Assistant and one-to-one Tutor in a Primary School in London to a Projects Assistant and Administrator for Training Organisations in Bristol. She is very interested in Education for Children and Young People and plans to continue her studies in Training Administration and Research.
